Today I'm speaking with Linda Fordrini-Johnson, the author of The Empowered Caregiver. The Empowered Caregiver is a pocket support guide designed to provide you with strategies and solutions for caring for your aging parents.
In today's episode, we're talking about what to do about resistance, how to set limits, and how to share the caregiving load. We're lucky that this isn't a three-hour episode!
Linda Fodrini-Johnson became a licensed family therapist and professional certified care manager in 1984. She was president of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers—now called the Aging Life Care Association. She founded Eldercare Services, a full-service care agency in the San Francisco Bay Area that provides care management, home care/caregiving services, advocacy, counseling, support groups, and education. She was director of the Dementia Respite Center—one of the first in the San Francisco Bay Area—and pioneered the multi-award-winning Early Stage of Dementia Program.
