Steve and Gincy Heins, faced this reality and their lives were forever changed by the diagnosis. But rather than succumbing to despair, they decided to take action and work towards keeping Steve's cognitive abilities stable. They were determined to beat the odds - with one-third of MCI patients showing improvement, one-third remaining steady, and the last third likely developing Alzheimer's.
